My First Time Telling My Testimony!

When God gives you a dream, don’t confuse it with your calling. You are called to live for him everyday and by living in your calling he will guide you to your dream!

Hello! The other day, November 5, 2019, I had the opportunity to share my testimony, along with some of my poetry, with two classes of 10th graders. I was so nervous. However, my sponsor, my friend and her friend, the teacher, and I prayed before the students came in to listen. We watched a short video before I spoke, and when I spoke I could tell God’s anointing was over me. The teacher told me, “I wouldn’t have guessed that this was your first time telling your story like this.” My sponsor told me, “You have a talent.”

The teacher had questions on the board for the students to answer. The questions were: “What stuck out to you the most? Could you relate? What did you take away from her story?”

Here are some of the student’s replies:

“That things started getting better for her when she let God into her life.“

“People are always there for you.”

“God is always there.”

“What caused her to do these things.”

“How much she did to try and fix the pain but none of that takes your pain away.”

“Life can be a struggle sometimes.”

“She kept on trying.”

“When she said, ‘Why does God let this happen?’.”

“How many years it took her to be happy but she was able to give the pain to God.”

There are so many more! Reading these responses brought tears to my eyes. It was incredible to let God use me to speak to those Teen’s hearts! And I pray that God will continue to use me and my talents he gave me, to bring glory to him!

God Bless!
