Today I had to make a phone call for some appointments. Usually, I hate having to do this because I always seem to get rude people. Now, I’ve been running off of 3 hours of sleep since 11am yesterday. I was not, NOT looking forward to dealing with angry people.
The phone rang and rang and this guy answers and he was THE NICEST GUY I have talked to from this company.
He explained things very clear, he was very polite, he was very easy to understand, and he was overall just very easy to talk to! And… he even helped me with something that none of the other people would help me with before.
Shout out to this guy!
So anyway… it really made me reflect on something:

For all I know, that guy could have been having one of the worst days of his life, and yet he chose to be polite and work with me, and that made my day a little better and the phone call went very smoothly.
He could have chose to be rude and mumble his words or talk too fast… and then I would probably have gotten even more frustrated and annoyed… therefor making both our days worse.

Moral of the story:
Showing kindness and being polite can really change not just your day but other people’s day.
If only everyone understood this.
